7400 Montgomery Suite 22 – 855.7777 –
Reception 5-8pm
Palette Contemporary Art and Craft will present the art glass sculpture of Czech Master, Frantisek Vizner, and his Czech glass compatriots. Mr. Vizner’s pieces will include his Modernist production pieces from the beginning of his career in the 1960s as well as original studio pieces which he crafted after 2000 and before his death in 2011. Known as a “Master Grinder”, Vizner created stunningly-designed minimal bowls and vases. His work has been exhibited in museums, worldwide, and these original pieces were appreciated during November’s Sculptural Objects and Functional Art Show (SOFA) in Chicago. His work has increased in value, is in short supply, and this exhibit is truly a great opportunity to view time-honored, world class artistry. Don’t miss this show! Also being shown are the Modernist pieces of Pavel Hlava, Petr Hora, Karl Palda (1930s Art Deco), and Ladislav Palecek. The exhibit runs through February 6.
