The gallery presents works by Dana Velasco and Merge, a show of ceramic tile mosaics by Dani Jeffries. Dani Jeffries’ tile mosaics are representations of places she has visited that she found to be particularly remarkable for their beauty or the quality of the light. Dayna Velasco’s work explores how energy is experienced as emotion, mysticism and story. Her pieces are inspired in great part from her work as a Polarity Therapist, where she witnesses how energy moves within the physical and emotional body.

The gallery is pleased to feature the work of talented Photographer Robert Crespin and Metal and Wood Artist Tom Roche. UNM first year and independent study students will exhibit their porcelain bowls, cups and plates in Inspirations: Porcelain Vessels by UNM Students. These porcelain works will emphasize these students practice of the 400-year Arita process and their search for a unique personal aesthetic in functional form. The challenging yet beautiful material of porcelain and its use in daily life inspires these works. These students are part of the 34 year legacy of this porcelain art practiced at UNM. The Gallery ABQ presents Pushing Boundaries, featuring gallery artists Marcella Boushelle, whose watermedia paintings are loosely interpreted, bold, fresh and expressive; Marlies Diels, whose unique pottery combines both beauty and function; and Trish Meyer, an experimental artist who combines digital imagery, printmaking and encaustic to build up her multilayered works.
